Description:
27" tapered octagon-to-round match-grade barrel by C P Donnelly with knurled wedding-band transition, globe front sight and dovetailed sling swivel mount with swivel. Highly figured European walnut stocks with schnabel forend tip, keyed barrel lug fastener with escutcheons, fine classic wrap-around point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, flaring beaded flat sidepanels front and rear, S-curved pistol grip, classic comb with double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, inletted escutcheon slotted swivel base with detachable swivel and smooth nickel-silver trapdoor buttplate holding The Riflesmith vernier tang sight in leather pouch. Hagn falling block action made by Hartmann & Weiss and casehardened by Donald Menk, with sporting tang sight also by The Riflesmith, slotted to allow access to the Hagn tang safety. Intertwining scroll and rope-border engraved by Roger Kehr and with gold flower atop action.  Pull: 13 1/2" . Weight: 7lbs, 14 3/4oz. Completed 1991. New condition. Featured in Steven Dodd Hughes book, Custom Rifles in Black and White, pp 107-108.
