Authentic pre-1989 Belgian-manufactured FN FAL Model 50.41 Heavy Barrel "LAR" squad automatic variant. Produced by Fabrique Nationale in the 1972–1973 transition era, this rifle features the consolidated 2.5-million factory serial sequence on the right side of the upper receiver and is factory-stamped ".308 MATCH" on the left.
This is a true numbers-matching piece with the factory serial number correctly stamped on both the bolt and bolt carrier. The rifle retains its original, beautiful fluted walnut heavy-barrel handguards, heavy-duty carry handle, synthetic humpback buttstock, and original smooth polymer pistol grip. The factory black paint-over-phosphate finish is in Very Good condition with minimal wear.
Optic Setup: Period-correct Springfield Armory Government Model 4-14x56mm scope. Renowned for its heavy-duty construction and internal bubble level, this massive 56mm objective lens optic perfectly complements the long-range, heavy-barrel setup of this rifle.
Note on configuration: The original sheet-metal dust cover was replaced with a period-correct B-Square optic mount, and the factory heavy-barrel bipod assembly is missing. All other components are 100% factory original.
