Description:
Very good condition, Model 49 semi-automatic rifle as produced by FN Herstal for Venezuela. This was the first successful attempt by FNH to produce a semi-automatic rifle after WWII. This rifle has the Venezuelan crest on the receiver ring. The right side of the receiver is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D' ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE" and the serial number. The pistol grip stock and handguard are walnut and the stock is fitted with a partially serrated bright metal buttplate. It has a tangent rear sight, a blade front sight with side protectors, grooved flash hider, bayonet lug mounted on the bottom of the barrel and detachable magazine. 7x57 Mauser
