The Fusil Automatique Léger ("Light Automatic Rifle") or FAL is a self-loading,
selective fire battle rifle produced by the Belgian armaments manufacturer Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN). During the Cold War it was adopted by many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries, with the notable exception of the United States. It is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries.7.62×51mm NATO round, and because of its prevalence and widespread use among the armed forces of many NATO countries during the Cold War it was nicknamed "The right arm of the Free World".Fabrique Nationale de Herstal and is so stamped on right side. It was imported by Howco of Laurel MD. It features the Belgium paratroopers 17.2 " length " with no provision for a carry handle. Almost new condition with just a bit of high edge wear, lets say 97-8%. Mint bore and action. Comes with original sling, bayonet and 7 original steel magazines. Aperture rear with post front sight and flash suppressor. Used in many of the worlds conflicts from 1954-88. One of the best rifles of this type ever made. Serial #S1596999
Note, I have been told bayonet is for H&K 91 but since it came with gun and is in the picture, I am still going to include.
This semi auto gun is an early pre ban mfg in Austria. We generally don't deal in this type of weapon but got it in an estate sale. We have marked it down $400 and this is rock bottom price. hope somebody who likes this type of weapon can give it a home.
