The Rolls Royce of its day, this Deluxe FN was supplied with an Armstrong peep sight which has been removed but is still with the rifle, as is the original front ramp, sight and hood (also removed). In lieu of the receiver sight, a B&L externally adjustable scope mount holds a Balvar 8A scope with tapered reticle, all in excellent working shape. The 24" proofed barrel has been fitted with a removable period Herters "Recoil Reducer" and a thread protector. Timney trigger (later) with shoe. Extended floorplate release, bluing thin on floorplate. Bore, wood, metal excellent. Barrel has original strong blue so the front sight solder mount is visible, and there is a small flat on the barrel under the scope bell to allow removal of the scope in the "correct" fashion, that has been cold blued. Comes with the original FN Brochure (torn), the original Herters brochure, and the original B&L scope mount brochure and box with all the associated screws.
