FN M249S Para in 5.56 NATO. The PARA was designed for airborne, armored infantry and close quarters combat (CQC) operations with a shorter barrel and collapsible buttstock. It retains all the features of the FN® M249 SAW and can be field converted back to the standard model configuration in just 30 seconds. This is a semi-automatic version of the M249 SAW light machine gun which was adopted by the U.S. military in 1988. The rifle features a 16.1-inch FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and operates from a closed-bolt position. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the rifle will accept both magazine and linked ammunition belt. Features include folding carry handle and folding, 3 position extendable bipod.
