The SCAR 16 is the commercial variant of the SCAR-L assault rifle initially developed for use by the United States Special Operations Command and retains all the performance of the military variant in a semiautomatic rifle platform. The rifle features a gas piston action with a built-in adjustable gas system for easy tuning to environmental factors or suppressor use and is paired with a monolithic receiver assembly that maximizes accuracy of mounted optics and lasers compared to the traditional 2-piece receiver and handguard assemblies. A free-floated, chrome-lined barrel also ensures supreme accuracy and durability even under heavy strings of fire.

The S model comes with a 16.25\" barrel and features an FDE finish. One 30-round magazine is included. These rifles were used as demonstration models by the manufacturer and will show heavy signs of wear and use from firing.
