This is an interesting S.P.A Luigi Franchi Brescia 20 gauge over under marked \"Field\" on the barrel, and has the Falconet style receiver but does not have the \"Falconet\" text on the bottom part of the receiver. Our best guess is very early Falconet to Pre-Falconet. With a single \"X\" stamped on the bottom of the barrels near the serial number what we have found is manufactured 1954.
Forearm, receiver, and barrel all have matching numbers. Looks to be the original butt plate. Red fiber optic front sight and brass mid-bead. 14-1/8\" length of pull, 2.75\" chamber, 28\" barrel. Top barrel is marked with one star indicated a full choke while the bottom has three stars, modified. Very nice firearm with little to no bluing wear. No apparent cracks, rust, or pitting.
