Description:
Here is a very cool and very unique rifle that we just got in on consignment. This is an Olympic Model Martini rifle built by W.W. Greener for The Miniature Ammunition Mfg. Co in Pall Mall London. This rifle is mentioned in Ernest H. Robinson's book on .22 shooting called "Rifle and Carton" in about 1914. This is one excerpt from the book: 
"The Olympic rifle has a good many first places and championships to its credit. It was one of the first, if not the first,
of the 'heavy barrel' miniature rifles in this country, and is made by Greener and sold by the Miniature Ammunition Company.
It is a high priced rifle but is beautifully finished, and every rifle sent out has been shot and zeroed by an expert,
so that it comes to the user with the very highest credentials.
The head of the "M.A.C." is a well-known shot"

This rifle still works great and besides the heavily pitted barrel, it is in good condition. There are also a few slight modifications done such as the butt plate. The bore has some wear but is actually in really good shape considering the age of this rifle and does not show heavy pitting like the outside of the barrel. The metal pitting seems to be only external as the action internal components also looks great. The barrel is a 26" Heavy Barrel. The barrel is pitted pretty bad and hard to read but you can just make out most of the stamping which reads "Miniature Ammunition Manufacturing Co Ltd, 11 Pall Mall S.W (London), Olympic Model" and also stamped "Ammunition .22 Rimfire". The wood is in sound condition but does show handling wear and battle scars from age. The butt plate is a custom made brass butt plate with a swastika logo in the center. The tang behind the receiver is also brass and has 2 holes drilled for mounting a sight. Length of pull is about 14.25". Does not have a rear sight but there is a front sight mounted on the barrel.
