Antique W.W. Greener 16 Bore Jones Patent Rotary under lever 16 Bore double rifle. Circa 1875 with 26" vivid damascus pattern Bbl with fine blade front sight and 3 leaf express rear sights. Matted raised top rib. Bright finished receiver marked "CHARGE OF POWDER 4 DRAMS" on left side and " W.W. GREENER St MARY'S WORKS BIRMINGHAM" on roght side/ Both back action exposed hammer lock are maker marked with fine scroll & foliate engraving. Steel skeleton butt plate with steel pistol grip cap and steel writs guard. Varnished checkered walnut stocks with single wedge retainer for forearm. . Condition, Brilliant bright deeply rifled bores with locks in mechanically excellent condition. Left barrel striker is broken and needs repair. Broken part has been retained and is with rifle. Stocks have some older rubs and course checkering with sling swivel studs at butt and bottom rib of Bbl. Amazing Big bore double rifle.
