Griffin & Howe After Hours Turkey Calling Class with the National Wild Turkey Federation Thursday April 10th, 6pm - 9pm We’re hosting a turkey hunting and calling class by the National Wild Turkey Federation in the Griffin & Howe dining room. Represented by the National Director of Annual Giving, Northeast Director of Annual Giving, and Director of Conservation Operations for the East, the NWTF will be presenting the basics of turkey calls, reviewing calling scenarios, and providing insight into the NWTF’s efforts in conservation and preserving hunting heritage in the Northeast. This is the second class in our new ‘Griffin & Howe After Hours’ series, where we host a monthly educational social gathering on the second Thursday of every month. These events will feature expert speakers, including professional hunters, world-class outfitters, renowned firearms specialists, biologists, and conservationists. Our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer all your questions, with extended access to our showroom for all your sporting needs. Join us for an evening of camaraderie, insights, and exclusive opportunities to deepen your knowledge and appreciation of the sporting tradition. About NWTF Since its inception in 1973, the NWTF has provided the foundation for wild turkey conservation throughout North America. From the first research project funded in the 1970s, to the multimillion-acre restoration initiatives going on today and everywhere in between, conserving the wild turkey and preserving our hunting heritage has always been — and always will be — the backbone of the National Wild Turkey Federation. About the NWTF Team Sean Langevin, Northeast Director of Annual Giving Sean was born and raised in Greene NY, a small upstate NY town with deep roots in hunting and fishing. An avid hunter, Sean has had the opportunities to hunt in many states throughout the country. His favorite part of turkey hunting is taking others out, especially introducing new people to the sport. After attending SUNY Cobleskill and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management, Sean began his career at the NWTF and has been there ever since. Zac Morton, National Director of Annual Giving Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, Zac cut his teeth on Appalachia turkey hunting. As a young boy his father taught him the ins and outs of chasing gobblers and the importance of giving back to conservation. After graduating from Appalachian State University, Zac has now worked for the NWTF for 14 years, demonstrating his passion for turkey hunting and the NWTF. Doug Little, Director of Conservation Operations in the East Doug’s educational experience began at Paul Smith’s College with an AAS in Ecology and Environmental Technology, followed by a BS in Environmental and Forest Biology from SUNY ESF at Syracuse, and an MSC in Wildlife and Fisheries Science at Mississippi State University, where his thesis focused on opinions and attitudes of spring wild turkey hunters on wildlife management areas throughout Mississippi. Prior to his role with NWTF, Doug also worked for the PA Game Commission as a biologist providing advice to private landowners, and the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation as a Senior Regional Wildlife Biologist, managing the deer and wild turkey programs in Suffolk County on Long Island. Doug began his career with the NWTF in 2005 as a regional biologist covering NY and New England and has since become the Eastern director of conservation operations.   $60 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). All materials, drinks and appetizers are included. Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
