Description:
24" BARREL, ACANTHUS LEAF SCROLL ENGRAVING, PISTOL HAND GRIP, ENGRAVED METAL GRIP CAP, 13-1/4" LOP, CHECKERED STEEL BUTTPLATE WITH TRAPP, NIKON PROSTAFF 2-7X32 SCOPE, GRIFFIN & HOWE SIDEMOUNT, 8 LBS 8 OZ - 9 LBS 10 OZ WITH SCOPE

A custom bolt action rifle chambered for the 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge built on a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 action. Its crowned round blued 24” steel barrel is fit with a barrel band stippled ramp knurled hooded blade front sight. The top of the barrel is marked "MADE ESPECIALLY FOR ALEX HOCHNER JR. NO. 2601 GRIFFIN & HOWE, NEW YORK, N.Y.". The action is fit with a Griffin & Howe side mount with a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 rifle scope attached, single trigger with a trigger shoe attached, 3-position wing safety with "FIRE" on the bolt shroud, receiver sight without aperture and elevation arm, jeweled bolt body and follower. The hinged floorplate, trigger guard and steel grip cap are adorned with Acanthus scroll engraving. The ends of the crossbolt are engravaed with foliate scrolls. The best quality checkered walnut stock has a pistol hand grip with engraved steel grip cap, ebony forend tip, engraved gold stock oval and sling swivel studs. 13-1/4" inch length of pull to a checkered steel buttplate with trap.
