S O L D .............LAYAWAY?.... .69 caliber, 42" barrel, NSN. Armory bright finish with walnut stock secured by three barrel bands. Bayonet lug under barrel with brass front sight brazed to front strap of first barrel band. Barrel marked with "V/P/[eagle]" proof marks and "AR/P" mark of Adam Ruhlman. Lockplate marked forward of hammer with American eagle over "US", "HARPERS/FERRY/1849" to the rear. Barrel tang shows 1849 date.
**Good to very good condition overall. Barrel has a mixed gunmetal patination with some scattered oxidation and darkening along with some light pitting. Stock shows some handling marks and blemishes but no major cracks, splits, or other serious damage.
