US Model 1816 formerly flintlock 69 caliber Harpers Ferry musket dated 1840 and converted to percussion circa 1850. This musket is in as made configuration other than having been converted to percussion and is complete with sling swivels and original ramrod. The functioning lock is marked US Harpers Ferry with the American eagle and dated 1840. The full length smooth bore 69 caliber barrel is dated 1840 is dark brown patina with some pitting near the breach. The full 3 band dark walnut stock is in good condition with a rack number 43 on the left cheek. A good historic civil war era musket. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
