Description:
"Serial no. 5726802. Manufactured in 1955 by Harrington & Richardson Arms Company, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “LMR D6535448 9-55 A43." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle has been upgraded with a National Match operating rod, enhancing accuracy and performance. The interior of the stock has been expertly glass bedded, reportedly completed at Fort Benning, Georgia, a well-known center for U.S. Army marksmanship training. The stock remains in very good condition, showing light handling impressions and has been treated with a glossy protective finish to help prevent moisture absorption and swelling. Harrington & Richardson Garands represent later post-war production, often noted for their quality and use of subcontracted components such as Line Material Corporation barrels. The rifle exhibits a tight, well-fitted action and would make an excellent marksman or target rifle. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
