This Harrington & Richardson Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a gas operated rotating bolt semi-automatic rifle in .30-06 Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip butt and a smooth grip two piece hardwood forearm. It was the standard U.S. service rifle during WW II, Korean War and saw limited service during the Viet Nam War. The Garand is still used by drill teams and military honor guards. It is also widely used by civilians for hunting, target and as a military collectable. DOM receiver 1954. DOM barrel 1-55.
