H&R Harrington & Richardson M1 Garand – 11/55, All Correct

Description:
This H&R Garand is in excellent used condition and appears to be all correct. All components are detailed below and in pictures available on request. The serial number on this rifle dates to November, 1955. This is a CMP Garand and I will include the certificate with the rifle. Rifle will ship in the CMP foam lined hard plastic case.

Nice consistent parkerized finish, no pitting on any metal parts. The bore is bright and shiny with excellent Throat Erosion & Muzzle Wear (see below). Postwar stock is very nice, with minimal dings, no cracks or repairs.

• Receiver: marked “6528291”. Heel marked “U.S. RIFLE CAL. .30 M1, H&R ARMS Co” and serial number: “5701167”.
• Barrel: Marked “HRA 6535448 11-55 RS65”. Bright bore w nice rifling. Nice Parkerizing. No rust or pitting. Barrel date consistent with receiver serial # (11/55).
• Barrel Gauge Measurements: Muzzle Wear - 2, Throat Erosion - 3
• Op rod: marked “6535382 HRA”, cut, slanted.
• Clip latch: round front, unmarked
• Op rod catch: unmarked
• Bullet guide: wide slot, unmarked with .250 crescent notch
• Follower & Slide: late type, unmarked.
• Follower arm: No bevel, unmarked.
• Follower rod: stamped, long fork, riveted
• Bolt: marked “6528287 HRA, Lot UW 751”, with hole in underside.
• Firing pin: half round
• Extractor: unmarked
• Sight knobs: HRA lock bar sight, closed arrowheads, serrated knobs, “HRA-W” windage knob, “HRA” elevation knob
• Rear sight cover: late type with ribs
• Rear sight aperture: Late version. Squared ramp shoulders, wide track (.085). Aperture disk edges smooth.
• Trigger housing: marked “6528290-HRA N”, large pad, cloverleaf hole.
• Trigger guard: stamped type, no markings.
• Trigger: unmarked, shape consistent with HRA rifles
• Hammer spring plunger: parkerized, without wings
• Hammer: marked “HRA 5546008”.
• Safety: marked “HRA”.
• Gas cylinder: wide sight platform (.575), flat on top on rear ring, unmarked.
• Front sight: ears .660 wide, unmarked. Consistent ear diameter for postwar HRA
• Gas cylinder lock: postwar hump top, unmarked.
• Gas cylinder lock screw: cross slot poppet valve type, marked “HRA” with “O”.
• Stock: walnut, HRA, with v-notch trigger guard, rounded pistol grip. There is a sans serif circle “P” in the pistol grip. The DoD stamp on the left side measures 1/2” square. Overall, very nice appearance with minimal dings, no cracks or repairs. 
• Buttplate: No Markings
• Handguards: walnut, both have a couple minor dings, no cracks, match stock in appearance.
• Accessories:  No enbloc clips (and no ammo), CMP foam lined hard case, CMP certificate

SHIPPING
- Please note that I do not ship to California.
- Ground shipping USPS to FFL dealer in lower 48 states. C&R FFL is accepted. I do require a copy of the C&R holders driver license with the C&R.
- Shipping charges calculated on the FFL ship-to zip code. Insurance is additional.
- Firearms ship insured to FFLs and require signatures. Items usually ship 1 to 2 business days after payment clears and FFL information is received.

RETURNS
- 3-Day inspection policy. Item may be returned if unfired, in same condition as when it left. Returns are subject to a $50.00 restocking fee. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges (must include insurance and signature requirement) and any transfer fees.
