Excellent Harrington & Richardson Officers Model 1873 Trapdoor 45-70 C&R
Description: Serial #7548, .45-70 Government, 26 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the H&R Model 173 Officer's Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle and is a replica of the original model 1873 Springfield, manufactured from 1975-1981. This model features a select walnut stock that is hand checkered, color case-hardened frame, lock plate, action and butt plate with engraving. In excellent like new condition the barrel retains virtually all, 99% plus original blue as does the vibrant case-hardened color on the other metal surfaces. The stock is likewise excellent plus with crisp checkering having a minor chip in the varnish layer near adjacent to the forearm cap on the bottom left side. It is equipped with a wood ramrod mounted under the barrel, a blade front sight and tang mounted rear peep sight with adjustable elevation. A beautiful example of H&R's Model 1873.
