HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON MODEL 1873 OFFICERS MODEL TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD, .45-70 CALIBER. I believe these fine American made replicas were made from 1975-1981. Copied from the originals, they feature checkering, tang sight, wiping rod, engraved case colored action, lock plate, trigger guard and hammer, and engraved pewter forend tip. It also has a tall blade/bead front sight on the 26” barrel to match up nicely with the tang sight. These are fine rifles that don’t turn up for sale much anymore. Aside from a couple of tiny handling marks in the wood that are too minor to describe, it is in near new condition. These are still a bargain.
