Inv. 7045 Harrington & Richardson, (H & R) U. S. M1 Garand, cal .30-06, Ser. 55836XX, This is a Korean War survivor.
It still has the original LMR barrel dated 2-55. The remaining original gray Parkerizing finish is at least 95%. The loss is due primarily to some sharp edge silvering a few scattered pin pricks, a slight fading of the blue finish on the barrel. The trigger guard floor plate assembly is the early machined type and fine condition. The original walnut stock is also in great shape. There are several surface dings however there are no splits or chips missing. The right side is stamped with a boxed Eagle and 3 Stars. The pistol grip is correctly stamped Circle P. A rack number 46 is painted in white on the butt. The barrel is really super muzzle erosion is a 1 and the throat is a 2 . It doesn't get much better than that. The bore is super. Mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. Not a touch of frost anywhere. The gun comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the CMP and two "enblock" cartridge clips.
