A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperature rear sight. The stock is a very nice smooth walnut pistol grip. It is gas operated with a rotating bolt. It was the standard U.S. service rifle during WW II, Korean War and saw limited service during Viet Nam. It is still used today for drill teams, honor guards and civilians for hunting and target practice. DOM 1955.
