Early NewHaven Connecticut Henry Patent 1860
Description: Early Henry rifle patent 1860, from Newhaven Connecticut serial number 9885, manufactured 1865, before the official end of the Civil War. Action functions smoothly clean bore and rifling. Correct swivels with noticeable "Henry Bump" Beautiful rifle with brass that appears to be unmolested and has become a deep mustard color and barrel with a nice brown patina that only time can create. Partial W inspection stamp visible on lower receiver tang. Rifle has a very unique buckhorn rear sight. Cartridge follower, loading gate and spring smoothly functioning. Right side of receiver and left side of loading gate have some small dings. Metal to wood fit is nice, stock has a nice color but definitely shows signs of use as would be expected.
