Only 1000 of the 4th Edition rifles have been built. Judging from the serial number, this rifle is # 136. The Big Boy Deluxe features a brass receiver, butt plate, and barrel band. The receiver and barrel band feature extensive engraving, being adorned with the traditional flowing-leaf scrollwork found on many high end rifles built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The stock and fore end are made of walnut rather than the usual hardwood. The rifle weighs around 8.7 lbs. which is about the normal weight for a lever action rifle. The 44 Magnum caliber is an excellent choice for use against most animals found in the woods out to 100-150 yards. It is a blast to shoot out of a rifle and easier to handle in this form than from a revolver. The .44 S&W Special can also be used in this rifle. The octagonal barrel is 20 inches in length, a standard for “carbine” lever guns. Sights are the classic buckhorn elevator rear and bead front sight.
