We know this rifle very well. We originally sold it, the optic and the attached accessories in early 2024. This was the third of four Defender model rifles that went to the same family. The family patriarch bought one, loved it and let his wife shoot it. She loved it and had to have one of her own. The niece comes to visit the ranch, shoots one of the rifles, loved it and had to have one for herself. The nephew comes to visit . . . you get the idea. Unfortunately, the niece has been transferred to New York and this rifle would not be welcome in New York so we have it for sale on consignment.
HM Defense is not an exceptionally well known brand in the U.S. retail market as the bulk of their production goes to military and law enforcement users. We distribute their rifles to law enforcement agencies in Texas so we usually keep a number of HM Defense rifles on hand for retail sale as well. This Defender is the exact same model that a number of police officers are currently running as their patrol rifle. It’s durable, reliable, accurate and you’ll pass it down through generations of your family. They really are that good.
The rifle features HM Defense’s patented HMB bolt and monobloc barrel. Both of these improvements eliminate the two most common points of failures in AR-style rifles. That’s one reason that the brand has become so popular with law enforcement agencies.
The barrel is 16 inches long and features an HM Defense flash hider/muzzle brake. The multi-position collapsible stock features a rubber recoil pad. The handguard has multiple M-LOK attachment points and a picatinny rail runs the length of the receiver and barrel on top.
This particular rifle also comes with a Holosun 510C (green) optic with multiple reticle system and a Holosun 3X magnifier to folds to the side when not in use. The pistol grip has been upgraded to a very comfortable rubberized grip and a Strike Industries forward grip is also attached. In other words, this rifle is decked out with top notch accessories and ready to go as soon as you pick it up.
The owner states that she only used the rifle (at the ranch) one time and our inspection indicates that to very likely be the case. The rifle is Near Mint in all regards . . . bore, barrel, finish, stock, etc.

HM Defense Defender – 5.56 NATO – 16" Barrel – Incl Holosun 510C & 3X Magnifier – Like New
We know this rifle very well. We originally sold it, the optic and the attached accessories in early 2024. This was the third of four Defender model rifles that went to the same family. The family patriarch bought one, loved it and let his wife shoot it. She loved it and had to have one of her own. The niece comes to visit the ranch, shoots one of the rifles, loved it and had to have one for herself. The nephew comes to visit . . . you get the idea. Unfortunately, the niece has been transferred to New York and this rifle would not be welcome in New York so we have it for sale on consignment.
HM Defense is not an exceptionally well known brand in the U.S. retail market as the bulk of their production goes to military and law enforcement users. We distribute their rifles to law enforcement agencies in Texas so we usually keep a number of HM Defense rifles on hand for retail sale as well. This Defender is the exact same model that a number of police officers are currently running as their patrol rifle. It’s durable, reliable, accurate and you’ll pass it down through generations of your family. They really are that good.
The rifle features HM Defense’s patented HMB bolt and monobloc barrel. Both of these improvements eliminate the two most common points of failures in AR-style rifles. That’s one reason that the brand has become so popular with law enforcement agencies.
The barrel is 16 inches long and features an HM Defense flash hider/muzzle brake. The multi-position collapsible stock features a rubber recoil pad. The handguard has multiple M-LOK attachment points and a picatinny rail runs the length of the receiver and barrel on top.
This particular rifle also comes with a Holosun 510C (green) optic with multiple reticle system and a Holosun 3X magnifier to folds to the side when not in use. The pistol grip has been upgraded to a very comfortable rubberized grip and a Strike Industries forward grip is also attached. In other words, this rifle is decked out with top notch accessories and ready to go as soon as you pick it up.
The owner states that she only used the rifle (at the ranch) one time and our inspection indicates that to very likely be the case. The rifle is Near Mint in all regards . . . bore, barrel, finish, stock, etc.
If what you’re after is a top tier, top quality, accurate AR rifle that will last a lifetime, without breaking the bank, we think that this one checks that box. In case you can’t tell, we’re big fans of HM Defense. Ater you’ve shot this rifle, we think that you will be as well. Just be careful letting relatives shoot your rifle. You may end up with a house full of HM Defense Defenders.
