Holland Royal Hammerless, Manufactured 1896. Chambered in .450/.400 2 3/8" BPE. The metal was refinished by Turnbull, and new case built by Holland. This gun is absolutely magnificent. The rifle is accompanied by an extensive article written by the owner we acquired it from. He was beyond detailed in his load development, and cartridge creation. Includes a Ken Light Annealing Machine, and a power case trimmer from Gracey Trimmers. There is a large amount of bullets, brass, and some loaded ammo. The loads are smokeless, using IMR 4895. The rifle shoots sub 2" groups at 100 yards. It is really a thing of beauty to behold, and to fire.
Not a more romantic plains game rifle in the US. Bar none. Stalking and shooting whitetail with this rifle would be akin to a ride on a hunters time machine.
