Holland & Holland .375H&H Magnum Takedown Cased
Description: Holland & Holland .375H&H Mag Proof for 300grn bullet. This rifle is in great condition, cased with accessories including new 30mm Rings and crossbar recently fitted by JJ Perodeau. It also includes the original 1" rings and a period Weaver 2.5 power scope that is clear with good blue. The action is clean forward ring remains undrilled and matted which follows onto the rib ring, the trigger is very nice as recently timed by JJ, floor plate is steel with aluminum take down screw. This rifle is what I refer to as a "Take Apart" rather than a takedown. There is a large forward screw that can be loosened and the action and barrel removed from the stock leaving a bracket held in by the rear screw. This one is fitted in a full length case, however you can carry this in a much smaller case in taken down form. This greatly helps to protect the stock. The barrel is 25" with a sculpted quarter rib safety, 1 standing and 1 folded rear, banded front and 3/4 banded front sling eye. The stock is clean with original chequering and signs of a later applied oil finish that was professionally done, 14 1/4" length of pull to a period Silver's pad, trap grip cap. 8lbs 12oz without scope. This is the best era for these prior to the aluminum floorplate and bulkier stock.
