24" BARRELS, ENGRAVED SPEARPOINT QUARTER RIB, EXPRESS REAR SIGHTS, DOUBLE TRIGGERS - FRONT ARTICULATED, PISTOL GRIP, CAP BOX, 14-3/4" LOP, LEATHER COVERED RECOIL PAD, 10 LBS

Double rifle chambered for the .500/.465 NE cartridge. The 24" blacked rifled chopper-lump streel barrels with London proofs are fit with ejectors, scroll engraved spearpoint quarter rib, gold-lined express rear sights - 1 standing regulated at 50 Yds and 2 folding leaves regulated for 100 and 200 Yds, spearpoint tipped blade and folding moon (night) front sights and swivel for sling. Top of the right barrel is roll marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND." while the top of the left barrel is roll marked "33. BRUTON STREET, LONDON." Top of the barrel is marked "500/465 NITRO EXPRESS" and has a gold-inlaid "1" toward the breech. The case color hardened finished re-inforced sidelock action is engraved with Holland & Holland's Royal Scroll pattern engraving, each lockplate is engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" and the bottom of the action body is engraved "THE ROYAL MODEL" fit with concealed third fastener (treble grip), disc-set strikers, hand-detachable locks, gold-lined cocking indicators, double triggers with the front being articulated and checkered protected by a blacked and engraved right side rolled edge trigger guard extending to a long bottom strap with the gun's serial number in gold and automatic safety. The engraved top strap over comb has gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and engraved slide safety. The enrgraved top lever is checkered on the left side of the thumbpiece and has a gold-inlaid "1". Deluxe quality highly marbled reddish-brown Turkish walnut stock with pistol hand grip fit with an engraved steel cap box, drop points, beaded cheekpiece, point pattern checkering with borders, vacant stock oval and swivel for sling. Similarly checkered splinter fore-end with Anson style button release, engraved escutcheon with gold-inlaid "1" and engraved center diamond. 14-3/4" LOP over a 1/2" leather covered recoil pad. 10 Lbs.
