Bolt Action Rifle in 7mm-08 Caliber **Nikko Sterling 3-9X 2nd Focal Plane Scope and Mounts - Japan Made**
Description: Here we have a Japan made Howa Model 1500 hunting rifle in 7mm-08 caliber. An out-of-the-box rifle for hunts and target shooters alike. The Hogue® Rifle features a Hogue pillar bedded overmolded stock for superior fit, function and accuracy. The combination of the high precision Howa 1500 and the ergonomic Hogue® OverMolded™ stock is a perfect blend for a lightweight, entry level match or sporting rifle you can depend on. The Howa 1500 brings with it, cold hammer forged barrel, steel forged bolt and receiver, HACT 2-stage trigger, and a 3-position safety. The 7mm-08 Remington is a rifle cartridge that is almost a direct copy of a wildcat cartridge developed around 1958 known as the 7mm/308. As these names would suggest, it is the .308 Winchester case necked down to accept 7 mm (.284) bullets with a small increase in case length. Of cartridges based upon the .308, it is the second most popular behind only the .243 Winchester. This particular example is in very good mechanical and physical condition exhibiting a little wear at the muzzle and a few light handling marks. The 22" barrel is bright and has a good bore with strong rifling. The bolt moves without binding. The mounted Nikko Sterling 3-9x40 scope is 2nd focal plane....which means the BDC reticle stays the same size no matter the magnification setting. The Hogue® OverMolded™ stock is in very good condition it's texture assures a firm grip on the rifle no matter what the weather dishes out. The scope has some marks but nothing that would impact functionality. The magazine has a hinged floorplate.
