The Howa 1500 action has become a popular choice for rifle enthusiasts in the last decade. The Japanese-built actions are fit with precision and operate extremely smoothly out of the box, making the Howa 1500 an excellent base platform for full custom builds and customization of factory rifles. In fact, Weatherby Vanguard rifles themselves are based off of Howa 1500 actions! The Howa 1500 uses Remington 700 scope mount patterns for easy compatibility with existing parts. The bolt design borrows elements of AR-15/M16 extraction and ejection systems for reliability, features a dual lug design, and is made of a forged lightweight steel for a balance between strength and quick operation. This rifle in question is a 1500 Mini Action Rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel, a fast and flat-shooting caliber optimized for long-distance precision with a mini action. The rifle has a 22" light profile threaded barrel with 1:8 twist rate. The gun has a 3-position safety and a factory grooved two-stage match trigger. The original factory synthetic stock has been swapped for a grey "Pepper" laminate Boyd's AT-One Thumbhole stock. This stock features an interchangeable polymer forend piece and has adjustable comb and butt pieces, tuned with the press of a button. The stock is capped with a rubber buttpad. The rifle package is completed with one OEM 5-round magazine and a Bushnell Banner 2 3-9x40mm scope. This rifle is in great condition and appears to have only seen light use. The bore is clean with excellent rifling. The finish on the barrel and receiver has no rust or defects. The stock has no flaws either and operates correctly. This package is an excellent value for a versatile rifle! No case or box is included with this Howa 1500 Mini Action. 6.5 Grendel
