The Howa 1500 is an impressive bolt-action rifle for the price, and performs as well as many of the other "big dogs" of the industry. Imported by Legacy Sports International from the Japanese Howa company, the Model 1500 is available in a huge swath of calibers, from light .223s to large magnum calibers and everything in-between. Some rifles are bedded in precison heavyweight stocks, while other—like this Mini Hunter—are more traditional and conservative in their design. Even if Howa isn't a familiar brand name to the prospective buyer, their reputation as an action supplier for the likes of Weatherby and others precedes them. The Howa 1500 Mini Hunter is a mini-action bolt rifle with a satin walnut stock with checkered forend and pistol grip. The stock has a raised sloped cheek rest, similar to a Monte Carlo-style stock. This rifle is chambered in the accurate, flat-shooting, and low-recoiling 6mm ARC. The 20" barrel is threaded to accept muzzle devices and suppressors. The Howa 1500 action is compatible with common Remington 700-pattern scope mounts and rings, while also compatible with various Weatherby Vanguard stocks and chassis—the customization options are nearly endless with this affordable rifle! The Howa company additionally guarantees sub-MOA accuracy with the rifle; if the gun does not meet your expectations, the factory will test and rebarrel the gun, free of charge!
