Folks, when I say extremely rare, this is what I mean. This is something that does not come up on the market often!
Here we have a Colt LE6920M chambered in 5.56 x 45mm NATO. This is one that was part of a Police/Military contract for Mexico but from the little information known online is that the Mexican Govt. cancelled the contract and went with something else after Colt had already finished the order. Approximately 2,500 units were made and ultimately sold to the consumer market here in the U.S. These never made it down south of the border. There were three different configurations, one with Magpul furniture. This second one that you see happens to be the most popular since it is the original M4 configuration from Colt. The third was a mix of both, without a carry handle. The contract requirement was for each rifle to have “S.D.N. Mexico D.F.” on the right side of the magwell, meaning "Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional, Mexico Distrito Federal"
This is a NIB unfired example. I've had it since they become available back in 2017, I was lucky to get a few, this is the only one I kept all these years. It has the sealed bag with the spanish/ english manual along with the sling, cleaning kit, and two factory magazines. You will also get the test round, air sealed from factory. In addition I'm including my entire collection of surplus Colt 30-round magazines! There will be 19 in total (including the two that are in the unopened bag that came with the rifle). Two of which are some of the highly sought after with the MIL/LEO Restricted markings.
Folks not sure what else to say about this one, other than it is a must in any serious Colt Collection! Sad to see this one go, but it is time for someone else to enjoy it in their collection.
