Description:
Husqvarna 640 chambered in 8mm Mauser. This rifle is in excellent condition. The barrel is 23 1/2 inches. The top of the barrel is marked "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS A.B. KAL. 8mm." The left side of the barrel shank is marked with the serial number, "84154". The front sight is a ramped bead, and the rear has an elevated drift adjustable sight. The stock is a one-piece checkered hardwood with a plastic buttpad, straight comb, and capped pistol grip. The LOP measures 14 1/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The metal finish and stock finish are excellent with very minor handling marks. The 7.92×57mm Mauser or 8mm Mauser is a rimless bottlenecked rifle cartridge. The cartridge was adopted by the German Empire in 1903–1905 and was the German service cartridge in both World Wars. It is still a popular sport and hunting cartridge that is factory-produced in Europe and the United States. 8mm Mauser
