Jarrett Switch Barrel .300 Jarrett & .338 Jarrett. Made in 1996, built on a Remington 700 action and consigned by the estate of the original owner, serial C6540646 has a 26-inch barrel (28 inches with brake, 1/12 twist, thread protector cap present). Features include an external bolt release button, tuned trigger (three pounds) and a McMillan stock (pebble finish, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad). Capacity is 3+1. EXTRA BARREL: The estate indicates that the .338 Jarrett barrel has not been attached since delivery as the owner was so satisfied with the accuracy of the .300 Jarrett barrel he never removed. The .338 barrel has identical dimensions, is twisted 1/10 and also has a thread protector cap. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 9.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.25 inches. OPTIC: A Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10 (matte, Duplex reticle, .25 MOA clicks) is secured in Leupold mounts. Finish is approximately 90 percent. Optics are sharp and lens coatings quite good. CONDITION: The bore is excellent, strong and bright. Trigger pull is crisp. Mechanics are excellent. Metal finish is approximately 85 percent with modest field wear. Stock finish is also approximately 85 percent. The .338 barrel is in new condition. INCLUSIONS: The original invoice, load information card for the .300, dies for both calibers and 95 empty cases (8mm Remington) are present. Twenty rounds of what appears to be Jarrett custom-loaded .300 Jarret ammo (180-grain Nosler Partition) and 40 rounds of what appears to be Jarrett custom-loaded .338 Jarret ammo (250-grain Hornady round nose) are also included.
