1941 Johnson Automatic Rifle and Original Bayonet with Scabbard
Description: Note: If you would like to purchase the rifle alone without the bayonet and other items in the package, email me. This 1941 Johnson automatic rifle is in excellent condition (with a few minor cosmetic handling marks) and functions well; I have fired it many times. See the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself; additional photos will be sent if requested. It is chambered for the .30-06. The bore is excellent, bright and shiny with strong rifling. The serial numbers are without letter prefix and accordingly they are part of the first block produced. This does not mean that the rifle was necessarily assembled at the time the parts were made. An original bayonet with scabbard are included as an accessory with the gun. The bayonet is in excellent condition; additional photos upon request. The scabbard is in fair to good condition. It is soft and supple and stitiching is tight. The retaining strap that secures the bayonet is torn. Also, included are an original Military Handbook of the Johnson Semi-Automatic Rifle published by the Johnson Automatics Trust in 1938 (rare and collectible in and of itself), reproduction instruction manual, spare mainspring, and miscellaneious parts as shown in the photo. If you’re an advanced collector of military arms, you know the history of the 1941 Johnson and you recognize the historical value of this package. I will consider a serious offer. The gun is C&R eligible. Buyer pays $50 shipping and insurance via Priority Mail; the gun will be sent to the address on the FFL or C&R. Payment is by cashiers check or postal money order. Owing to complex and confusing shipping regulations no sales to CA. The package is subject to sale on other sites and locally. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Rifle Caliber: .30-06 Springfield |
