1800s Antique J. PAULUS “CANOE GUN” Cut Down LONG RIFLE .40 Caliber A Handy Weapon for Travel & Concealment
Description: 1800s Antique J. PAULUS “CANOE GUN” Cut Down LONG RIFLE .40 Caliber A Handy Weapon for Travel & Concealment Here we present an antique Percussion “Canoe” Rifle, made circa the mid-1800s. This was formerly a long rifle that was dramatically shortened to make a much handier weapon for carry, stowing in a canoe, throwing in a wagon, or keeping hidden under a blanket until necessary. These are most associated with the Frontier, especially Native Americans and trappers, traders, and others living in the wilds. The overall condition is good. Smooth, original brown patina. The hammer does not hold in the cock position. Good bore for its age. Solid stock. This example has an average amount of handling evidence and a crack on the underside of the wrist that’s stable. Legible markings. “J. PAULUS” marked barrel top. The barrel has been shortened. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 16-1/2 inches. Caliber: .40 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1250 #250366 Antique: Yes Price: $1,250.00 Buy Now Pay with ![]() Contact Seller |
