Kimber of Oregon Model 82 22 Magnum Serial M3000

I wonder if the rifle was the first of the 22 Magnum model 82 guns. Manufacturers sometimes start a new run with an even number. Whatever the case, there are probably fewer that five Kimber guns with a serial number with a single digit and three zeros.  The "M" precursor in the serial number most likely designates Magnum, further reinforcing a separate series theory.  This rifle is as new with only two to three minor wood flaws that I have found. The bore and the metal finish are perfect. I don't think it was fired if at all after the factory. Talley makes exquisite rings for the   11mm scope rail on this rifle. I am a Talley dealer and I can supply your choice of rings at extra charge in 1" and 30mm in several heights.  The price is $2000 including shipping to your dealer.  Also pictured is a mostly completed hard curly maple stock made for the M82. For an additional $1200 this stock will be expertly checkered in a nice factory style pattern and included with the rifle. The stock is available separately if you already have a Model 82.  Or I'll sell it as is without checkering for $950.  I will need a signed FFL emailed to me for shipping the rifle.
