Left hand Aaron Little custom Winchester Model 70 .280 Ackley Improved. Consigned by the original bespoke owner, serial G174444 has a 23-inch Krieger barrel (.565-inch muzzle diameter, recessed crown, banded sling swivel stud, designated as SAAMI specs, unknown twist). Features include a rust blue finish, full-length claw extractor, jeweled bolt body, three-position safety, custom bottom metal (contoured, inside-the-bow release) and a tuned trigger. No box, papers or build sheet are present. STOCK: The AA-grade walnut is shaped as a sleek mountain rifle. Particulars include an ebony forend tip, fine wrap checkering with partial Mullered borders, open grip, steel grip cap and a thin Pachmayr pad. OPTIC: A 2.5-10x40 Schmidt & Bender Summit (1-inch tube, adjustable ocular housing, plex reticle with thin vertical crosswire) is secured in Talley mounts. Tube finish is over 95 percent with two minor rubs from the covers. Optics are sharp and lens coatings good. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 8.0 pounds, length-of-pull is 14.0 inches and cast on is approximately .30-inch. CONDITION: The bore is pristine.
