Left hand Goudy custom 7mm Remington Magnum on a Mathieu Arms action. Consigned by the original bespoke owner, serial 1248 has a 24-inch PacNor barrel (.550 muzzle diameter, unknown twist), two-position safety, checkered bolt knob, contoured bases (Kimber one-inch low rings) and a Dayton Traister trigger. STOCK: Signed by Goudy at the lug, the AA-grade English blank adopts the contour of a proper mountain rifle and is dressed with an ebony forend tip, fine wrap checkering accented with ribbons, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, skeleton grip cap, sling swivel studs and a Pachmayr recoil pad. OPTIC: A Swarovski Z3 3-9x36 scope (one-inch tube, adjustable ocular housing, .25 MOA clicks, plex reticle with thin vertical crosswire) is mounted. Tube finish is 99 percent. Image is tack sharp. Lens coatings are unmolested. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 8.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.25 inches. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding. Metal finish is approximately 98 percent. Stock is approximately 95 percent with a modest scattering of minor impressions. No box, papers or build sheet are present. The price is firm and layaway is available.
