Left hand custom Winchester Model 70 .338 Winchester Magnum. Built for the USRAC Senior Design Engineer responsible for the Model 70 program in the 1990s by a friend, serial G303398 has a 24.5-inch carbon fiber barrel (no brand or twist marking, Winchester proof mark over chamber). Features include a CRF action (pre-64 Model 70 style with full-length claw extractor), jeweled bolt body, three-position safety and a factory walnut stock with reshaped forearm. Leupold mounts (1-inch high rings) are attached. No box, papers or build sheet are present. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with mounts) is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is superb - strong and bright. Metal portions of the barrel show approximately 97 percent finish with a few light rubs. Action finish is over 98 percent. Wood is approximately 98 percent with impressions at the front guard screw from floor plate opening. The price is firm and layaway is available. $1,750 plus shipping.
