20” barrel w/open sights and Redfield 2x-7x Variable scope (Slide mount by Paul Jaeger), Double set triggers.
Long known as “The Finest Rifle in the World”, Mannlicher Schoenaurers are coveted by many world class hunters. Silky smooth bolt operation, accuracy, balance, rotary magazine, unparallel German craftsmanship and many other features, make this the rifle others are compared to.
Both sliding tang and Mauser style bolt safeties, “butter knife” bolt handle (highly polished as to look like nickel). Detachable rotary magazine may be removed by using a bullet tip to depress a recessed release in the floor plate. Magazine is fed by pushing cartridges from the top and each cartridge is held individually to prevent damage to bullet tips. Cartridges may be unloaded without cycling them through the action, by depressing a button just to the right of the bolt, which ejects cartridges out the top of action.
With double set triggers, rear trigger is used to “set” the front trigger, then the rifle is fired by a very light touch on the front trigger, adjustable between 0-3 oz. Rifle may also be fired by solely pulling front trigger, which then has an extremely heavy pull of about 9 lbs.
Rifle is in very good condition, with some blue wear on magazine floor plate. Remainder of wood and metal is just about mint.
