Mannlicher-Schoenauer Model 1903 takedown rifle in .256 Mannlicher caliber. Custom conversion to
fully threaded 2 pc takedown rifle done in England circa 19xx. Gun is British proofed with multiple
markings including: “Not English Make”, “.256”, “2.12”, “NC 36 Gr” and “160 Bullet”. Excellent bore.
Folding 3 leaf express rear sight. Bolt mounted cocking piece peep sight. Band ramp blade front sight
with 7/8” bbl in front of band. Underbarrel sling swivel base and European style swivel in butt. 3 piece
cleaning rod and spare front sight in trapdoor buttplate. Beautiful stock with tiger stripe appearance
and small raised cheekpiece (for right-handed shooter). Overall condition (refinished in 2013 by
Michael Merker Riflemakers in Hendersonville, NC) is excellent.
