Description:
Per Guns International Appraisal, (29 January 2022), the rifle is "Appraised as follows:
1. Excellent condition, 98% overall
2. Blueing 100%
3. Wood has some small handling marks
4. Additional Information: Serial number: 43668; Date of Manufacture: 1964; Finish: Blued Metal with pollished bolt and bolt handle; Action Type: Bolt action rotary magazine; Caliber .30-06; Barrel Length: 20 Inch; Pull Length:14 1/4 Inches; Weight: approx 8.6 lbs; Double set triggers; alterations: Scope mounts and a Leupold 3x9 variable scope were added; the rest of the rifle appears to be all original". I am the original owner.
Flaws/history/discrepancies: a 4 power Unertl scope and mount were added in 1968, by a local gunsmith in Great Falls, Montana. I had the Unertl scope replaced, it fogged up, with a Leupold 3x9 variable scope in 2010 by a Gander Mountain gunsmith. Currently, one mounting screw is missing and some of the scope mounting screws may have been installed using Lock-Tite. I am not a gunsmith and I did not want to remove/replace the mounting screws. I last used the gun in fall of 2015 and it performed well.
