Description: FINE CONDITION SPECIAL ORDER MARLIN MODEL ’94, .32-20 WITH EXTRA LENGTH 26” OCTAGON BARREL, #367XXX, MADE 1907. Standard length barrel for this model was 24” with any other length offered as special order only. The receiver case colors have darkened with age and are still visible on the right and left rear portions of the side panels, on the receiver top, on both sides of the upper tang by the hammer, on the hammer sides, traces on the upper portion of the lever and on the lower receiver/tang under the lever. The barrel shows fine and even lightly aged blue with excellent markings and is fitted with a buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and Rocky Mountain blade front sight. The mag tube blue has aged and is mixing an uncleaned plum/brown. The butt stock shows tight wood to metal fit at the receiver juncture and has a couple of small chips at the top of the butt plate. The forend shows normal handling/saddle wear. This rifle saw mounted use as on the right side of the forearm is a row of light “dots” where the rowel of a spur rolled along the wood (The rowel is the rotating star-shaped/pointed wheel at the back of the spur that touches the horse). Action is tight with strong hammer spring and secure safety half-cock. Exc. sharp bore that at worst is slightly dark only. A handsome Marlin with a scarce barrel length.
