VERY RARE MARLIN 1893 .38-55 WITH FACTORY 30" ROUND BARREL AND FULL MAGAZINE, #210XXX, MADE 1900
Description: VERY RARE MARLIN 1893 .38-55 WITH FACTORY 30" ROUND BARREL AND FULL MAGAZINE, #210XXX, MADE 1900. The standard length for this model was 26" with anything else being rare. This example came out of here in Montana and is in very fine condition overall. The receiver retains some light case color on the bolt and on the right side of the receiver. There is also some good case color on the receiver top. The left side is mostly a cloudy gray with some case color in the most protected areas. There is good case color on the upper portion of the lever and on the receiver where the lever screw attaches. The barrel shows fine only lightly aged blue with excellent markings and the mag tube is mainly an uncleaned brown on the bottom portion with some good blue under the barrel section. The stock and forearm show light handling only with very tight wood to metal fit. Original buckhorn rear sight with slide intact and Rocky Mountain blade front sight. The left side of the barrel is stamped Special Smokeless Steel. There is also good blue on the loading gate. The action is tight with a solid half-cock notch. The bore is slightly dark with sharp rifling all the way through and NO pitting. Overall, an extremely rare variation 1893 Marlin in a great caliber in very fine condition.
