This is a Marlin model 94 (1894) lever action rifle chambered in 44-40. It features a 24” octagonal barrel with sharp and bright rifling. It was built in 1947 and has a very honest patina throughout the rifle. The action is tight and works just as it should. It has 6 thumb tacks that follow the curve of the original metal crescent butt plate that is an Oklahoma tradition among native hunters. This is a very solid rifle with lots of honest character.
