Marlin 1895CB 45-70 Cowboy with 26" Octagon Barrel JMM
Description: MARLIN, JMM Marked, 1895CB "Cowboy" Lever action repeater in the classic 45-70 caliber. It has a 26" full octagon Barrel with clear sharp riflings. This is not a micro-groove barrel. The metal looks perfect and you have to look closely to find any small flaws. The wood is excellent with only a couple of tiny dings(see pictures). This rifle has been shot less than 40 rounds. I know that because when I purchased it, the owner gave me the two boxes of ammo that he purchased with it and there were 4 factory rounds and 36 empty brass in the boxes. It has never had a scope mounted but it is factory drilled and tapped for one. It has the hammer block safety at the rear of the receiver. This would be a great hunting rifle for big game up to 200 yards or beyond if you have the skills. I don't know how many of these were made in this particular configuration, but I have only seen a couple. This one is completely stock, just as it came from the factory.
