This deer slayer came out of the woods of North West Ct and was told to us by the son of its owner that his dad took LOTS of deer with it. It has been carried enough to have blue loss on the underside but well cared for, not rusted or pitted or abused. ADL. Bonus comes with period correct Weaver with Post and Ch reticle that is still crystal clear
There had bee a well done repair to the butt stock; left side and a small area upper tang right side where it meets the receiver; servicable but no attempt was made to hide it....It would be easy to make this look a bit better by anyone a little handy with wood.
This is the deluxe version of the rifle (not carbine 336 with 24" barrel. It was Marlin's answer to Winchesters model 64 and 64 Deluxe and at the time listed for more than the Winchester and is likley a better gun (we like both)
Bore is perfect and mirror brite

There had bee a well done repair to the butt stock; left side and a small area upper tang right side where it meets the receiver; servicable but no attempt was made to hide it....It would be easy to make this look a bit better by anyone a little handy with wood.
This is the deluxe version of the rifle (not carbine 336 with 24" barrel. It was Marlin's answer to Winchesters model 64 and 64 Deluxe and at the time listed for more than the Winchester and is likley a better gun (we like both)
