Marlin Model 47 slide action 22 - rare!

Marlin Model 47 slide action .22. My understanding is these Model 47 slide action .22's were given to indiviuals as gifts for purchasing Marlin stock (equity) in/around 1930-1931. (was a tough time to sell stock!) These Model 47's are rare. The mechanics on this gun are functioning fine. The bore is bright and shiny and I would rate it as 'good'. There are 2 hairline cracks in the stock as is common with these guns....but they have been repaired and the stock is very tight with little to no wobble. (don't let small cracks in these slide actions scare you....they're common and the repaired stocks typically have a lot of shooting life left....glue today is actually stronger than the wood!) The gun is all original as far as I can tell. There's no bluing left on the metal - but overall I would say the metal is in good/smooth condition. (no pitting) These slide actions are getting tough to find and understandably so.....they're very well built and about as much fun to shoot as anything. An FFL is required. C&R eligible. $495. Shipping is $50. Let me know of questions.
