Description:
MARLIN 1894 RARITY: .32-20 RIFLE WITH ULTRA RARE 30" OCTAGON BARREL AND FULL MAGAZINE, #217XXX, MADE 1901. This is a fine rifle that shows deep barrel and magazine blue with only minor ageing and minor mixing plum/brown. Exc. markings and fitted with a buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and Rocky Mountain copper blade front sight. The receiver shows even very faded and light case color mixing heavily mottled silver/gray- same with the upper portion of the lever sides. Good blue on the loading gate. Generally excellent wood shows only light handling and tight wood to metal fit. Has the correct early crescent butt plate. Tight action with solid safety half-cock and exc. bore that is only a little dark. This is an extremely rare barrel length with few made and few in existence today. A fine condition and super rare 1894.
