Cody email sheet confirms the configuration for serial # 133765 and shows a ship date of March 9, 1896. CONDITION: Receiver exhibits 40% original case colors with some surface oxidation staining. Barrel and 1/2 mag exhibit 70% original thinning blue turning plum with some light wear and very minor surface oxidation in spots. Original checkering is still quite sharp and has never been freshened. Fore arm is sound with no splits or cracks and still proud of the metal, just exhibiting normal light scratches and light dings from handling. Butt stock has chip loss at both top tangs and has an extremely well-done repair on the toeline at the butt plate (butt plate has had the original piece glued back in, as does the wood), otherwise no major issues, just normal dings and dents from handling. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling, no pitting and no frost, a 9 of 10. Action is smooth and the half cock safety functions as it should.
